This policy explains how Recappp uses cookies and analytics on our website (recappp.app) and in our mobile application. We use minimal tracking technologies, prioritizing your privacy.
What We DO NOT Use
- ❌ No advertising cookies - We do not display ads or use ad tracking
- ❌ No cross-site tracking - We do not track you across other websites
- ❌ No third-party profiling - We do not share data with data brokers
- ❌ No Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or similar - No marketing trackers
- ❌ No fingerprinting - We do not use device fingerprinting

Mobile App Analytics
Our mobile app uses privacy-first analytics with the following principles:
- Anonymous IDs: We use randomly generated IDs that cannot be linked to you
- ID rotation: Anonymous IDs are rotated when you log out
- ID deletion: Anonymous IDs are deleted when you delete your account
- No PII: We do not collect email addresses, names, or other personal data in analytics
- Event-based only: We track specific actions (app opened, feature used), not continuous monitoring
Events We Track
We only track the following events to understand app usage and fix issues:

- • signup_completed
- • email_sync_started / completed / failed
- • paywall_viewed
- • subscription_started / failed
What We DO NOT Track
- ❌ Screen recordings or session replays
- ❌ Email content or amounts
- ❌ Photo content or locations
- ❌ Health data values
- ❌ Transaction details
- ❌ Device advertising identifiers
Third-Party Services
We use our own self-hosted analytics infrastructure. We do not use:
- ❌ Google Analytics
- ❌ Facebook Analytics
- ❌ Mixpanel
- ❌ Amplitude
- ❌ Firebase Analytics (for user tracking)
We may use Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting, which only collects technical information about app crashes (device model, OS version, stack trace) and does not include personal data.
Your Choices
Browser Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using some website features.
Mobile App Analytics
Analytics in the mobile app are minimal by design. You can opt out completely:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements → Share Analytics (turn off)
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
